Tá Cárthach ag amhrán ó bhí sé ina gharsúin óg agus thug leis an traidisíuin ársa amhránaíochta a áite dhúchais.
Bhí sé ar an gcéad amhránai ag an ngrúpa Danú agus tá sé ina bhall de Chór Fear na nDéise.
Tá a chuid amhránaiochta le cloisint ar dhlúthdhioscaí na ngrúpai sin agus ar a dhlúthdhiosca aonarach An Tobar Séimh, a sheol sé in 2018.

Cárthach mac Craith was born and reared in the Ring Gaeltacht in County Waterford.
Cárthach has been singing since he was a young child and is steeped in the rich traditional singing of his native home.
He was the lead singer with the group Danú and is a member of Cór Fear na nDéise. His singing can be heard on the cd’s of those groups and can be heard also on his won solo cd An Tobar Séimh.
